The We fiasco has been fun to watch.

Softbank paid 24 billion pounds for ARM. RiscV is not going to help
this situation. There is no reason that an instruction set should cost
much. Or anything.

Zero Hedge mostly shrieks but is neat to read.

Good designs always cost money and good engineers require paying for
their work. Arm's designs and IP is worth a decent sum of cash.

Only time will tell if he paid over the odds for it. The pound
plummeting due to Brexit uncertainty means that the vultures are
circling over other UK high tech industries with hostile takeover plans.
This one Cobham air-to-air refuelling amazingly was referred to the CMA
on national security grounds at the very last minute.

Son may well come a cropper if things turn ugly in the market.

dot.com II is a distinct possibility.

RiscV is free. So is MIPS now.

I think it's inevitable. Same dynamics as the first dot.com wreck,
only bigger.

It's not the instruction set, it's the fab designs,
ready to go, for a price, drop into ST chips, etc.
