SKILL Quick Reference (OpenAccess & CDBA) at DAC 2004

At the risk of 'running an advertisement', I'd like to let
all the DAC-bound engineers know I just got permission to send
to the printers a brand new wire-bound SKILL Quick Reference
(one of the most desired Cadence publications ever, based on
reviews I've seen in the past).

Note: I've even been told there have been fights at Customer
sites when salespeople don't bring enough of these 'gifts'.

Two hundred first-proof printed copies will be shipped to DAC,
to be handed out, as free courtesy references, to all those who
request it 'till supplies last (that's why I'm telling you now
about this opportunity). They're normally sold for $350.oo each,
often to Customers not currently on maintenance for product #900
"SKILL Development Environment" (they cost more than three hundred
dollars per copy when you factor in labor rates times the number
of manhours it took to add every single public SKILL function).

The SKILL cross-functional team, including Erin & Andrew
Beckett & Pete Zakel and others who often voluntarily post to
the USENET on your behalf, labored long and hard to ensure that
not only all six thousand CDBA related public SKILL functions
were documented in the SQR, but, also that all the OpenAccess
related public SKILL functions were added too!

Plus there's a new dual foldout of both the SKILL access to the
CDBA database & (on the other side) the SKILL access to
the OpenAccess database. This is the best all-in-one SKILL
publication (I know of) on earth. It can even be customized
and printed with YOUR SKILL functions documented in chapter 1.

If you miss obtaining the new (11th printing, orange cover) SQR
at DAC 2004, you can ask your sales team (after DAC); but, SQR
dissemination & corporate pricing is solely up to your account managers.

P.S. Consider the DAC freebie beer-ware ... Andrew Beckett helped
a lot so, when you see him, buy him a pint by way of thanks!

Absolutely nothing I say on the USENET is sanctioned by my employer!

They went like hotcakes!

By DAC Wednesday, I couldn't even find a copy for myself!
None were left in the suite or on the floor (next to the Cadence
Harley Davidson motorcycle, I was told the SQR was the second
best giveaway (one Customer said the SKILL Quick Reference
exhibited a versatility similar to "EDA duct tape").

This SKILL Quick Reference (11th printing, orange cover) contains
over a hundred pages of new public SKILL functions, including all
the SKILL OpenAccess ones and a new CDBA vs OpenAccess foldout at
the back of the desktop reference. The old (red, green, then blue)
SQRs are all no longer printed (they'll be collectors' items, mark
my words! Especially to anyone with the complete autographed set :)

This SQR, documenting the five thousand public DFII SKILL functions
is normally available to anyone with product #900 (SKILL Development
Environment) on maintenance (although your local sales team has sole
and final descretion on pricing & availability).

Ask your sales team for a copy (tell them to contact me if they don't
yet know how to get them & I can show them the internal process we
set up to make it really easy to print & ship them to you on demand).
