Singer CTV Model SG-2975

Hello ,

Looking for some information on a CTV ...Singer Model SG-2975
Standby led is blinking and it sounds like SMPS is trying to come up
but keeps shutting down ( coincides with led)
I have a schematic diagram but it is a different singer model ( RC4120)
just about all the info i can find .
Havent opened it up yet , probably will Saturday and start with checking
caps
diodes transistors
Although an electronics techo ( all of 3 years) i dont repair TVs to often
and Singer is a brand i have never heard of , presumably one of these
crappy models that come out at a low price with inferior parts inside.

So if anyone can provide schematics or any pointers i would be
much obliged

You sound like a reasonable chap but sure are lazy.
Why not at least take the back off and do a bit of fault finding
before you ask your questions.
Anyway,to help you get started you will find your horizontal output
transistor leaky.It's a 2sd2553,available from most suppliers
including Speedy Spares at around $10.
It failed because of dry joints on the driver transformer.
Next time you have a fault,please wait til you have at least made an
effort.
