simulation of phase noise (jitter)

Hello everybody,

I would like to find out how large is the jitter of my circuitry, e.g.
a receiver. Is it possible to simulate it by spectre using some noise
analysis?
I know I can use transient simulation to get an eye diagram when I
have a transient signal which has a jitter. But how can I get the
jitter introduced by the circuitry itselfs?

Much thanks.

Best regards

Frank.

Hello Frank,

have a look at the papers on Ken Kunderts designers guide. Maybe they will
answer some of your questions:

Kind Regards,
Marc
