Simple 'body area network' circuit

Folks...
Does anyone have a reference for a simple scheme for transmitting
very low bandwidth digital data over the human body. I've seen many
papers on 'body area networks'.. where info such as business cards
might be exchanged on a handshake. I'm looking to exchange much
smaller amounts of data... but would like to do this cheaply. Any
circuit ideas appreciated. Many thanks

Some literature mentions the use of LF magnetic fields Apperently less power

hungry then RF and no problems with the FCC ;-)
