Incredibly ambitious and breathtaking plan they expect to be installed by next summer! . Government and its cronies are working too slowly, and it\'s \"....expected to meet or exceed the spirit and requirements of the U.S. National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program\" - means the government specified architecture has its flaws. They also plan to use totally renewable energy for the chargers. Seems their rounding up quite a few other players for this venture.

I like the fact that GM is in this plan, as well as planning to use the Tesla network. Of course, there\'s nothing mutually exclusive about the two networks. Especially since this new network appears to plan to support both CCS1 and NACS charging connectors.

But, none of that is actually important. What is important is the means of payment. Most people focus on the connector or the electrical interface, while ignoring that the payment interface is the big PITA. That\'s where Tesla really shines... that and the huge number of chargers they\'ve installed..

I would point out that nothing you\'ve said, is from your link. What was your source? Not that it matters. People buying EVs today need charging now.. This scheme won\'t build a single charge point until 2024.
