selection box for symbol pcells

Guest
Greetings,

I have a set of symbols (symbol, symbol_1, symbol_2) defined for a view
and I have a symbol pcell code which picks
the appropriate symbol based on a CDF parameter. The problem is, when I
instantiate an instance of the symbol,
the selection box is totally messed up. The selection box seems to
include the cdsTerm and cdsParam labels on
the symbol although the instance;drawing layer which is suppose to
determine the selection box
doesn't include these labels. This makes the instance bounding box very
big. When I directly place the symbol by
referring to the actual symbol view name (symbol_1 for example), the
selection box is just fine. Any ideas on how to
get the tool ignore the ILLabel's when determining the selection box?

Thanks
Raj

I'm pretty certain that this should work - I don't recall ever having a problem,
if the pcell draws the instance/drawing layer. That's the way it should be done
(and is in fact the only way).

Which version are you using? You should probably report this via customer
support, BTW.

Regards,

Andrew.
