Hi,
I am using this book for self study, and came across this problem,
any help/pointers appreciated. I hope this is an appropriate newsgroup
for such questions. If anyone is aware of more focused newsgroup please
do let me know.
In page 421 How did the authors arrive at eqn. 5.80?
That that drain current for 1 is
(1/2) (Kn) (W2/L2) [-vO + (Vdd - Vt)]
is about as far as i could get.
Trying to refer to the gm of common source amplifiers leads to references
to to the early voltage section 5.7.1 ....but that does not seem to appear in
the above equation
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Since not all of us have (or maybe can afford) the book, maybe a little
more context might help (alt.binaries.schematics.electronic ?)
