I am looking for an electronics search engine
that will locate parts by function, not part number.

For example I am looking for an RS-170/NTSC
interface chipset and would like to search for that.

Any suggestions?

Some manufacturers have a parametric search feature that can select by
function. But AFAIK there is no general purpose search engine that's
specific to electronics.
