how can I create a screeshot of a selected area in virtuoso schematic editor
(not the whole window) ?

Thomas,

if you are running Cadence on Unix, try the "snapshot" command from the
command line. For Solaris, it is located under:
/usr/openwin/bin/snapshot

you can also use gimp to create snapshots. it works great.
