How do I save data of the simulation result in cadence so I can export
to matlab or excel? And where is wavescan in ADE?

Thanks

Wavescan in ADE is there in IC5141 onwards. Look at Session->Options and there
is a choice of waveform tools (AWD or Wavescan). Wavescan is the default, but
that can be changed with a cdsenv setting.

To save the data, easiest is to use the printvs button on the old calculator
(there's a similar icon on the wavescan calculator when running in ADE), with
the expression you want to dump in the calculator buffer. Then don't fill
in the start, end, or step values - leave them blank (step will cause it to
interpolate the results; start and end will clip the x-axis), and OK that
form. Then in the resulting window you can do a File->Print and print to a
file, leaving you with tabular ASCII data.

Andrew.
