Sanyo Cordless phone CLT-986

Hi, I have Sanyo cordless phone CLT-986, when i walk away from the base like
a 2 feet or more my voice on the phone goes in and out ,its breaking up, and
the other person on the other end cant hear me, sometimes the phone works
ok.., i can talk like for 30 mins without voice going in and out...what can
be the cause....battery?.. bad solder joints...crystal..or antenna?

oh I forgot to add that it is a 900mhz cordless phone

You may have some cold solder connections inside. It also may have some
front end problems if the signals are weak. If it is a front end problem,
or a problem with any of the SMD devices, I would doubt you can fix this
yourself.

Most of the manufactures have a flat rate factory service. If you call
Sanyo, they can tell you about their after warranty service policy. Some of
these phones were sold with a 3 years parts warranty. This means you would
only pay a flat labour rate plus the transport, and the parts would be
included, if this is the case with your phone.
