As always a tv comes in:
Complaint is dead, gets standard estimate and labor rates.
Complaint is blows fuses, gets the customer been inside the tv surcharge
added to the repair estimate.

Simply replacing a blown fuse that blows again likely will cause more damage
requiring more repair dollars.

Check for failed components in the main power supply. This can be
anything from capacitors to the switch driver devices to the regulators,
and maybe even the switching transformer itself. If not, a defective
flyback can cause the main fuse to blow if it has shorted turns, or
something shorted on its output.

A short on the main power supply output buss will also cause fuses to
blow, but most likely the supply will also be damaged.

When replacing defective parts, find the reason for the failure. If
not, they will fail again!
