Another LCD TV just over a year old having problems. Audio works, but just
a pure white screen, no OSD. This problem appears to be common to this
model, but I haven't found any information as to what failed. I'm
suspecting this isn't a filtering situation in the SMPS, like with the
Poloroid's. Anyone with knowledge about this situation? If it isn't a
forced replacement of a board, I hope.

Clean glue like material from spaced further apart trace of FFC ribbon - or

Replace the ribbon wire < P/N: N6CD FFC>

Connects panel to timing control assy.

Main board is cabled to a smaller rectangular board with one large processor
chip. From there a flat ribbon cable [white] leads to the display. I'll
check that cable where it connects to the small board and at the display,
for the glue like material. 2009 and we are still seeing problems caused by
corrosive glue?

Thanks for the information.
