My SV5000 multi system VCR wont play or eject.
It continuously pretends to eject whichever function is pressed. The
cassette gets half way up to the eject position and then the unit jams.
I called Samsung and they told me this was comparatively common and that if
I unplugged it for a minute or so it would reset itself, which it did. It
then ran for a few weeks. Then it did the same thing again (going from
0000 to 0002 and then half-ejecting) and no amount of unplugging it would
get it to reset itself. SO I unplugged it for a week and I plugged it in
again. I then turned it on and it seemed to turn on and go in properly.
But when I put the cassette back in and pressed play, it (again) went from
0000 to 0002 and then half-ejected again. (it does this with two different
cassettes so it isn't the cassette which is at fault)
Now nothing will assist yet again. Anyone know what is going on? Is there
some microprocessor which governs the play/eject function which has gone?
