How do you wire S video to component video outputs?Does the audio ride
these same paths?

Hi,
It's not just about "wiring" it properly. First off, to answer your
second question, audio is not part of S-video or component video;
it's carried separately. Second, to answer your first question, if
I'm not mistaken, this is what modern TVs used "comb filters" for,
which, I'm pretty sure, are very complicated devices. There are
probably converters out there, but it'd be a big undertaking to build
one yourself.

What is the purpose for your wanting to do this. Im only askin
because there would really be no advantage in the outcome of th
picture. Unless you were using an upconverter, and manipulating th
signal. In which case you have quite a project.

Just curious about what you are trying to hookup.

Good luck
