running PAL60 on 15 year old SHARP TV?

I have an old Sharp TV with no multisystem support. I have a Panasonic DVD
player that outputs in PAL60 when playing back NTSC discs.
The problem is that the TV has won't resync for PAL60 and the vertical hold
control is internal to the TV.

What solutions do I have? I heard of a method involving wiring up internally
another Vertical Control and calibrating it for PAL60 and the original
control for normal PAL and then having a switch to switch between which
control is used.

TIA,

Bill

anyone??

*** Oh,alright!!!

If I had a 15 year old Sharp I wouldn't even take the back off for fear of
having the thing slowly disintegrate before my eyes (electronically, that
is).

So there!!

I would download the datasheet for the IC that contains your vertical
oscillator. With any luck there may be a way to extend the frequency
range via external components.

** Frank - the dude does not know an IC pin from Icy Pole.

So unimaginative he did not even post the model of the TV set.
