Running headless

Guest
Hello everyone,

I was wondering if there was a way to set up simulations in ocean on a
remote machine so that they do not stop when I log off. I looked into
using the 'screen' command, but something to do with the fact that
ocean runs in X11 is causes it to quit regardless. At least I think
that's why it quits.

So either a way to make the ocean environment not not quit when I
disconnect or a way to get it to run without X11 would do the trick.

Thanks,

Well sorry to disturb you all, I did some more research and came
across this thread:
http://groups.google.com/group/comp.cad.cadence/browse_thread/thread/71f11f57e13d7bc7/00b1320fc2a8ccdc?lnk=gst&q=ocean&rnum=9&hl=en#00b1320fc2a8ccdc
which explains that the command to use is:
ocean -nographics

That'll teach me to post first and ask questions later.
