Hi all,
has anyone of you ever received a problems with the Maxim MAX221 in
that way that the serial communication of the connected PC is damaged?
I have a little embedded hardware. A uart is connected to the hardware
than I go via a optocoupler to a MAX221ECU. So the GND of the DSP is
free floating in respect to the MAX. After connecting my laptop to
this hardware my serial line of the laptop does not work any more.
Also another (very old) laptop does not work any more. My desktop can
be connected without any problem.
The embedded HW still works, even the MAX221 is ok. Just the PC makes
trouble.
Has anyone made the same experience?
