Is it possible to rotate a symbol 45 degrees in the Cadence schematic
editor?

--I posted a similar question awhile back. I asked about non-90 degree cell
rotations in the layout editor, and the answer in that case was no. I would
assume since you can't do it in layouts then you can't do it with
schematics. I could be wrong though. Can you create another symbol view with
the lines and pins rotated by 45 degrees and then use that?

The fundamental problem is that the database itself only supports 8 orientations
of instances (4 90 degree multiples plus a flip).
