Band-clamps like this are a real problem solver for mitered frames and boxes. This one works OK and is reasonably priced. It works better when you make corner-bracing blocks for the straps to ride over. Accurately-cut miters require minimal clamping force and will self-align with this system. It is compact, affordable and easy to use. Of course, miss-cut miters won't assemble well with any amount of force, so do not expect this or any other clamp to repair your Mulligans. If you use it, you might want to apply some waxed paper between the joints and the nylon strap or bracing-blocks to prevent squeezed-out glue from adhering in the wrong place. PVA glue loves nylon.
