Reusable Electrical Connector between Electronics Package an

Dear all,

I was wondering if any of you knows about commercial connectivity
solutions that enables to make an electric connection between an
electronics package and a flexprint. The requirements are:
- mechanical robust and stable
- solderless and glueless
- electronics should be reusable, i.e. the connector can be opened and
closed many times
- 2 electrical contact are needed
- not bulky

I was personally thinking about some conductive velcro or a clamp that
punches some pins through the flexible substrate film.

Any kind of suggestions, links, etc. are welcome!

Thx,
David

Elastomeric connectors are normally used for this. Your flex would
have two or more registration holes that engage [mechanical, passive]
pins on the connector. Then you clamp down a locking bar on top of the
flex circuit, pressing it onto the elastomer. The other end of the
elastomer presses on the PCB tracks.

Your use of Usenet

needs improvement.
If you feel *compelled* to ask the same question
in MULTIPLE newsgroups, *this* is the prefered technique:

Your technique

is selfish and inefficient

The last half of this thread explains WHY
and fleshes out the (more acceptable) cross-posting paradigm:

The last post in that thread hints at why (clueless) Google Groupers
are so reviled by those who read Usenet using a "newsreader".
