Resistor question

Hi,

I'm trying to make a flickering light that will look like a candle. The
schematic I have calls for 125mW resistors, but I can only find 1/4 or 1/2
watt ones. Can I use the 1/4 watt resistors instead of the 125mW ones? if
so, would I need to make any modifications to the schematic? If I can't use
the 1/4 watt ones, where can I get 125mW resistors? The schematic is at
http://wolfstone.halloweenhost.com/TechBase/flktch_kilowatt.gif if it helps.

Thanks,
Joe

1/4 or 1/2 watt will work just fine.

You can use 1/4 watt (or even 1 watt) of the same resistance with no
problems. The 1/8 watt (125 mW) ones will be smaller, which might be
a consideration if you are trying for minimum size.

Yes. The schematic is telling you that the
resistor in your circuit will not dissapate more
than 1/8 of one watt, and so it is safe to use
a 1/8 watt resistor. A 1/4 watt or 1/2 watt
resistor of the same value would be safer still.

where can I get 125mW resistors?
Same place you can get almost any electronic
component you care to imagine
