Reserved Words

I have 3 prominent books on VHDL and they give almost no explaination
of what
these words mean / do. I found a page on line that gives each a 7-8
word description,
or uses another reserved word to define it! Is there a good reference
for these words?
Many Thanks,
Pete O.

Some of the reserved words would be difficult if not impossible to define
*without* referencing other reserved words.

Try Accolade's VHDL Language Reference. It has a section with definitions
of keywords. It used to be available online in HTML for convenient
browsing, but it seems to have disappeared. There's a PDF version here:

If you're having trouble finding useful definitions of any specific
reserved words, why not ask about them here?
