I am trying to identift 3 transistors from the servo section of a
power amplifier. They are TO92 cases and all 3 have a National
Semiconductor
logo on them. They date from about 1981

They are marked as follows:

851
J176

908
J211

803
J211

I have looked them up as 2N851, 2N908 etc and only the 851 matches the
case style. The other 2 are completely different. Any assistace
appreciated

From 1987 Intersil data book:

J176 - P-channel JFET, TO-92, Rds(on)max 250 ohm, Vp 1V - 4V, Igss 1nA, BVgss
30V, Id(off) -1nA, Idss 2V - 20V

J211 - N-channel JFET, TO-92, gfs 7000 umho (Usiemens), Idss 7mA - 20mA,
Vp 2.5V - 4.5V, Igss -100pA max, BVgss -25V min, Ciss 4pF typical, Crss
1pF typical, en 10nV per root Hz typical @ 1kHz

Errors and typos excepted :)

Hi
These parts are JFET's
You can find the specifications in the Fairchild Semiconductor web site.

They're JFET's. J176 and J211 respectively.

Thanks to everyone who responded. They are JFETS. Now that I know what
they are their placement and orientation now make sense.
