REQ: Info on SCK 058

I am looking for info on a part from a switching power supply. The
legend on it is SCK 058. I think it may been a power thermistor, but I'm
not sure of the values. This one is definatly defective, as it has a
hole burned through to the outside. I suspect the magic smoke got out.

I have posted a pic at this URL;

PB/PowerThermistorFromKodakPrinter.jpg

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Usual datasheet searches came up
empty.

Thanks,

Any number of manufs for Inrush Curreent Limiters
eg. http://www.ametherm.com/inrush-current/
Just select a similar rated device for any locally available substitute.

There would be quite a difference between SCK 058 and any of the parts
on the data sheet you've referenced. Using their part designation, it
would be 5R, 8A.

Perhaps you've misread the number. It will not need a current rating
in excess of that supported by the input fuse. The diameter is an
indication of surge capacity - larger diameters support larger
capacitor sizes at higher line voltage.
