Repost: Blaupunkt VCR backup battery problem

VCR Blaupunkt model RTV465, mechanics and electronics are Philips
Turbo Drive chassis.
Recently it was unplugged, then plugged back after a while. It lost
all its memory in the process, clock and stations - and something
else. (Usually, when unplugged it didn't lose the clock). Clock and
stations can be reprogrammed, but half the functions no longer
operate. I mean it no longer can be put in low-consumption mode,
VPS/PDC, LP, and many other features it had before are now ignored by
the machine. The corresponding button on the remote does nothing. It
also jumps over E2 (scart 2) input so it can't be selected anymore.
Plays and records fine, but picture in still mode or ff/rew shows
noise bars while before it had a clean picture (it isn't using the LP
heads).
It seems some option configuration has been lost, for this reason I'm
looking for these hidden options.
As I mentioned the chassis is a Philips Turbo drive deck and
electronics are also the same chassis. I'm looking for some jumper
inside to bring these hidden options but find nothing. I tried to
press Stop on the remote and Play on the VCR but that does nothing.
Does anyone know how these options can be found? I tried a good backup
battery but the VCR is already misconfigured.
I'm sure someone around here has available literature about these
Philips chassis.
Hoping to hear from someone...

Given that you have a multi-symptom problem, it would be useful to know
exactly what diagnostic checks you have already performed. The fact that the
fault occurred after a power down/power up sequence doesn't necessarily mean
that a battery backup problem is the exclusive cause.

Have you checked that all the PSU voltages are present and correct, both at
the PSU itself and in the supply rail feeds to the different sections of the
VCR ?

Even tough everything is possible I would be very surprised if these
problems would be due to a problem in the supply. I've so far measured the
5V supply to the micro which appears correct, and measured voltage of backup
battery 4,0V. I belive it should be 4,5V at least since it appears to be
three series 1,5V small batteries (non rechargeable) in one package. It is
starting to leak. The rest of the VCR works perfectly.

I don't have exactly a multi-symptom problem, all my problems with this VCR
are reduced to one component, the micro. The micro has lost its knowledge
about the functions it must offer to the user. One example of that is the
'TUNER' key in the remote that sets VCR into tuner mode, so that it will not
shut down and so can be used as a tuner. That key still appears operational
displaying TUNER like before, but has no effect at all - after some minutes
of no operation it shuts down.
Another example is a missing function CHANNEL DETECT that could be set
ON/OFF through settings found pressing EJECT+PLAY. This no longer appears in
that set of settings. The MONITOR key in the remote selects wheter the 12V
in the scart are enabled or disabled, it also ignores this keystroke (it
still outputs 12V when in PLAY).
The micro seems an unknown proprietary model labeled Gemstar and some house
numbers, SMD type.

Definitely it doesn't appear to me like a hardware problem. Sounds like the
option alignment found in the service menu of many Philips TVs, that enables
or disables functions. It is the same but in a VCR with an unknown service
menu. No one here in Spain will sell me any documentation (it would not be
cost effective to buy one anyway), that's why I'm hoping someone can look at
the manual for a similar Philips chasis and inform me how to find these
hidden options. Thank you in advance.
