where could i get a replacement read/write head for the iomega 100mb usb zip
drive? the serial on that read/write head is AZP 217 6CP

Oh No, Click of Death Disease ! :( :(

I don't think just the head is available, the alignment has to be done
at the factory as its over 30 times more precise than say a floppy
disk . More like a hard disk in its complexity .

I haven't seen inside of a usb zip drive, but if it's the same mechanism as
a scsi
or parallel one, you could do a transplant. I see the latter at thrift
stores and flea
markets for as little as $1.....Paul
