Hi all,

I need to replace the cable on the speaker, but can't find the
specification/data sheet on 3.5mm stereo plug.

So, can anyone tell me where/how can I wire-up a 3.5mm stereo plug.

Thanks in advance.

The shield(s) go to the shaft of the plug, the L and R inner
of the shielded cables go to the tip and the ring just behind it.

Thanks, but it would be a great help if u include a picture.

It should be obvious once you unscrew the plastic
thing off the back. You should be able to see which
one goes to which part labelled on that diagram
and you can use a multimeter if it isnt obvious.

Each plug will vary in construction. Look at the plug and you should be
able to figure out which terminals are connected to the sleeve, ring and
tip.

Thanks, but how do u connect 2 speakers (with L & R) to a single 3.5mm
connector? ie 4 wires to 3.5mm connector.

Is it 2L to L and 2R to R of the connector?

Thanks

One wire from each speaker is joined together and connects to the sleeve
(body) of the plug - if the wires are colour coded, you join the two black
ones together (the colour doesn't matter, just make sure the same colours
are joined, otherwise while they'll seem to work fine, you'll hear strange
things happen to the volume as you move your head around), if they're
shielded you join the couter braids together. Then the remaining wire from
each speaker connects to its respective tag on the plug.
