I am making a new version os an existing product, which has to get a new
name.
Whatever I try in OrCAD, copying and renaming a design or saving the
existing design with a new name in a new directory, the old original name
stays embedded in the DSN file. The same problem occurs with the original
MAX file. Even when I save the MAX file as a TPL ot TCH file with a new name
in the new projects' directory, I cannot get rod of the old embedded design
name. And why would I want this? Whenever I do a backannotation, the old
name shows up in the SWP file and when I do not pay attention, the original
design get the backannotation, effectively destroyng it.
So is there a good way of 'instantiating' a new design from an existing
design, without any references to the old design?
