Is there any way of cleaning mould of the inside of a VHS video tape without
destroying the content on the tape?

I've used a tape cleaner similar to the one WES stock (DSE used to have one,
but I don't think they still do). There is going to be some degradation,
depending on how bad the mould is and how long it's been on the tape.

Hi Ken
Was it really sucessful using the WES one?
I have tried several things on a few of these mouldy tape, but never had
much luck,
I even found in a few cases that the tape was stuck together !!
I know it could not fix them,
but did the WES unit remove the mould from the top of the tape?

I gather it used a bit of cleaning liquid as well...:>
