Can anyone help please? I have just purchased an inverter to control a 3 phase
motor on a metalturning lathe. I would like to fit an remote variable speed
controller rather than use the keypad on the unit do I just need to connect a
10Kohm potentiometer to the control bus in order to achieve this or is
something more needed.
Regards and thanks to all who reply.

I suggest you ask the manufacturer of the inverter if such a
modification is possible.

I don't think anyone here could make even a wild guess without knowing
the make and model of the inverter. (But my wild guess is that unless
there is already a connector for a remote pot speed control, it isn't
possible (or the manufacturer won't admit it!)).
