I need a relay with the following characteristics.
High side need to be 110~120 ac non latching.(springs back when
current is off.)
The low side will be working on/off on circuit board.
Relay closed will actuate one side of the low switch. Relay off
working second side of low switch.
Can anyone point me in the right direction or give me the parts # for
one with these specs.
It's been awhile since I've done any work with relays but I seem to
remember Potter Brumfield had relays like this.
Thanks in advance for any info to what is I'm sure a simple question
to most here.

If I read your description correctly, you want a relay with a 120V AC
coil, and single pole, double throw contacts. You should also specify
the current and voltage ratings required for the contacts.

Potter & Brumfield is one well-known relay maker - another is Omron.

See what your favourite supplier carries - no point me selecting one
if you can't get it...

Thanks for the reply.
Yes that's about right.
I'm wanting to build a relay for turning the record on and off on a
vcr using a motion detector. Instead of switching on a light or in my
normal use a buzzer(elcheapo burglar alarm.) I'd wire it to a vcr.
Closed will be rec and back open(when voltage drops after sensor times
out) to close circuit on the stop button.
It'd be micro voltage I presume since the vcr switches are tiny
microswitches or even membrane types.
I'd think they wouldn't be carrying more than 12v dc max.
I'll just wire in a couple of sets of jumper wires connected to the
front panel using dc coxial jacks.
I'm just SOOO tired of wading through hours of security tape every day
and commercial time lapse or motion controlled vcr's are so pricey.
Thanks again. And any info you can give me on a suitable relay is
greatly appreciated.(I retired from the repair business many years
back and have long since tossed all my parts manuals.)

make sure when you do that you put in a delay off timer other wise,
you could cause problems with the VCR being quickly triggered and turn
off again.
