Recursive function

heya ppl
is it possible to have recursive functions in VHDL, coz ive tried but
with not much succes.. and what about operator overloading or function
overloadin? n stuff like that..

Calling a function you generate a HW block and use its output. In recursive
you generate a series of many similar blocks connected in a chain.
