Record Player power

I'm considering buying a record player from a 2nd hand shop. The
problem with it is it must have been from an integrated hifi system
and only has a 6-wire connector (no phono jacks or ac plug).

I would guess the 6 wires would be:
- right audio
- right audio gnd
- left audio
- left audio gnd
- power
- power gnd

It's a Panasonic deck. Does anyone have any info on this 6-wire (grey)
connector? Or what sort of voltage a record player would use? Is it
kind of standard or ?

Any advice greatly apreciated.

Trace them. The signal wires should show contuity to the cartridge
and the power leads to the motor and/or PS.

Most turntables run on 120 VAC.

I would pass on this one. There's lots of better table around which have
ordinary connectors and get their power from the wall.
Ebay for example sell lots of turntables at reasonable prices every day.

Most turntables run on 120 VAC.
But not this one. I have a stereo that came with a turntable that ran

from a 15VDC supply from the stereo unit, although it use a
traditional RCA plugs for audio, and a coaxial DC plug for power.

As you say those plugs are supposed to go into an integrated stereo main
unit and aren't very easy to adapt to a component type stereo system.
These types of turntables may have a preamp IC in them but not usually
RIAA corrected. Best get a different type of TT to avoid the headache.
