Excellent deal. Johnson's book is worth at least $3.00 by itself.

I believe the traditional USENET response to this sort of gloat is
"you suck".

I just nabbed an SD-24 TDR/sampling head on ebay! I suck!

Shame on you for robbing a widow of her deceased-husband's treasure.

Thanks,

You *might* suck. Did you get it for <1/10 of market value? From a
widow who had it listed under "plumbing hardware".

17.5ps rise time, eh? Nice stuff.

It's hard to say what's market value. The dual-channel 12 GHz heads
(SD-22) are going for around $1K or so, less if you get lucky; I just
bought four (from Scotland!) for a test set. You can get an 11801
mainframe for $250-$700 maybe, so you can have a 12G scope for under
$2k. The TDR heads are prized for PC board impedance testing, so are
harder to find; the rotten bastard brokers want up to $10K each, close
to the original Tek pricing. Sort of an impulse buy, I guess.
Nice stuff. The $2k inclusive is pretty affordable, if you need that
sort of thing.

Expect grits.
John
Cool, thanks. I'll keep an eye out.
