I have not worked on many combos, what I have is perfect operation
on the VCR. All that I get on the TV is a blue screen. I surmize that
this is because I am getting no signal through the R.F portion of the
circuit. As yet I have no schematic of
the set. I know there is an internal switch in one of the `chips` that
switches from VCR to TV. Might this be the trouble or should I check
the tuner and the RF and IF path.
Any suggestions will be appreciated, especially if one has had this
kind of trouble.
Thanks, Tom

Any time I've seen this symptom, it's always been a bad tuner. There is a
guy in California (Tip Top TV & VCR) That will repair a tuner for a flat
rate. Last time I used him it was $25. You can call him at 1-818-345-1974,
describe the problem & ask if he thinks it's the tuner.

Thanks for the tip, I have used Tip Tuner before with good results.
Tom
