With respect to the auxillary power supply board on a RCA model P61930BL
(Chassis PTK 195 ET) projection tv, the regulator (U19700) which is a
STK730-130 was defective. After replacing the regulator, the tv powered
up fine. I am not working with any schematics. I am also more familiar
with the STK730-010 group of regulators found on RCA direct view chassis
like CTC 187. My concern is that the regulator's pins 11,12 read 174.5
volts on run (162.1 volts in standby) where I would seem to expect a
reading of about 157 volts. The circuitry is very similar to the circuit
used in the CTC187 chassis. The complete set of readings on the pins of
this regulator are (in run) as follows: Pin 1= -39.47 v. (OK), Pin 2=
-32.75 v. (OK), Pin 3= GND, Pin 4= 1.716 v., Pin 5= 1.563 v., Pin 6=
1.563 v., Pin 7= .022 v., Pins 8,9= .075 v., and Pins 11,12= 174.5 v.
(peak). Incidentally, the readings from plug J701 (to digital
convergence
board) are as follows: Pin 1= -46.4 v., Pin 2= -14.8 v., Pin 3= GND,
Pin 4= 22.9v., Pin 5= 14.6 v., Pin 6= -46.7 v.
I would appreciate if anyone could confirm the readings on the regulator
as close to correct. Thanks in advance, Ron.
