My RCA RC5220P DVD player has started freezing up after playing about an
hour and a half. It acts like the laser is not close enough to the disk.
However you can fast forward it past the "bad spot" and the show goes on.
Where should I begin looking for the problem? Or, should I begin looking for
a new dvd player?
E-mail will be fine.
Thanx

Does this happen with other DVD discs too? If it only happens with one
particular disc at exactly the same moment it is probably caused by a layer
change, though a defect on the disc (e.g. scratch) may explain this as well.
Some DVD players don't like layer changes very much.
Or, should I begin looking for
a new dvd player?
Well, considering the price of a new DVD player... But first I would check
if other discs exhibit the same problem and also try playing the troublesome
discs in another DVD player.

E-mail will be fine.
