RCA DVD/CD Player

Hi everyone,

I have a ? fairly early model RCA DVD/CD player that plays CD's pretty much
OK but refuses to recognise DVD's ( "No Disc" Error). The disk spins and the
laser moves etc

Anybody got any clues?

I actually had a similar thing happen last week with my Nintaus 9901,
except that it would read DVDs OK, but the "no disc error" on CDs.
Replacing the loader with a generic PC-DVD Rom sorted it out.

If the player has a standard IDE drive this is possibly a cure for you.
