RCA color coding

i have an output connector for my x-box with various color RCA jacks
and cant figure out where the blue and green rca jacks go on my
surround sound receiver. Can someone help with this?

You've got the HDTV box, the blue and green jacks are two of the 3 for the
RGB output, if your TV and surround reciever support this there'll be
matching jacks on them as well. IIRC that box also has an Svideo jack and
stereo audio RCA's, those are the ones you wanna use.
 
If you are talking about the HDTV connector kit, the Green, Red and Blue go
to the HDTV component video input for the HDTV. The Cable enclosed with the
kit also has another red/white pair for the left and right analog audio.
If you look carefully you will also notice an optical digital audio output
connector on the connector end. This would be the one to use for a good
surround receiver that can handle this input.
Just one more note of concern.... You must also enable the optical output in
the Xbox console menu under audio options. Same with using the Video menu
for the various HDTV formats.
If you have only an NTSC TV with component video inputs then you can still
use this kit, but you will have to set the video mode to 480i only.
The other problem with this HDTV kit is that the Xbox will only output the
console menu's using 480i so if your HDTV input on your TV is 2H only then
you won't be able to see these menus.
