I have one of these sets, and ive had it for a quite a few years now.
It worked great until over a year ago, and the raster kept going in and out
intermittently, HV was always there.
the video signal was there, and teh screen drive was absent. so I went to
the splitter and adjusted each screen drive, and had the picture in. that
problem was solved for then, and the picture was slightly pulled in, so im
guessing bad cap in pincussion.
Just today, the set just went totally dead. found HOT Q4401 shorted.
I replaced Q4401, I tried to fire the set up, and the 15khz flyback ring
fired up for a quick second, and the ring was unusually loud squeek. then
boom, HOT shorted out again.
Is the flyback bad? Im thinking it might be the splitter or focus/screen
block, as a problem began to suffice there before.
Any ideas, if there any common failures, let me know, and I probably need a
new flyback and splitter. I need the part numbers.
I dont need the wrong flayback, as I read in past posts, that if the wrong
one is installed, it blows the HV reg board.
Help, any ideas?
