Hi I want to watch my tv under the house, at prestent I have an indorr
arial, and the reception is crap.
Someone said you can buy rabit ears ?? that transmit from upstairs to
downstairs?
How do they work ?
Is the quality good, or is there interference ?

Also Jaycar want about $100 for them, and DS want $189.
Which should I buy ? which will be better quality ?

Thanks, Peter

If you can run a coax or ribbon cable to extend your external antenna for
upstairs to downstairs you'll be better off. The transmitters only do one
channel at a time.

Rabbit ears are just an internal antenna.

You can buy AV transmitters.

How do they work ?
Connect the transmitter to the output of the Video, or game, or DVD player.

The receiver then connects to your tele.

Is the quality good, or is there interference ?
There's interference.

Buy an antenna cable splitter and run antenna cable to down stairs.
Or if you want AV from the pay tv/digital tv/dvd/vcd .. then just run AV
cable.
or both.

Why not try a Digital TV Set top box and use it with your indoor antenna.
Chances are it will work. If it does work you will get a perfect picture and
sound. I suggest you buy one from DSE or Myer etc just in case it doesn't
work and you need to return it.

I heard of the rabbit ears antenna and I went out and got a set but I can't
get them to work, the bloody thing is starting to stink and the dog is
looking at it more and more, I suppose I should have cut the ears off the
rabbit before I put it on the TV.

There used to be video sender that was branded "The Rabbit".
Probably the source of the initial solution.

Modern sender units also have a remote control repeater that will alow you to change channels from
downstairs.
Cheers.
