Questions re: air purifier

We just got an air purifier that came with a 6.5", 6.5W
UV-C germicidal bulb, and we'd like to replace it with a
more powerful UV-C bulb (15W). The socket and
starter seem pretty standard (mini bi-pin socket, FS5/
FS22 starter). Two questions:

Any obvious reason why we shouldn't be able to use the
more powerful bulb?

Any source leads for 6.5", 15W UV-C bulbs?

Thanks,
Rick

The ballast may need to be replaced as well.

But why mess with it before you've even used it?

I'd be concerned about heat dissipation.

The unit is basically a fan with an added charcoal filter and UV-C
bulb assemply, which is placed next to the air outlet.. so I don't
think heat buildup will be a problem. I think the biggest challenge
will be finding a 15W, 6.5" UV-C bulb to fit the existing fixture.

Thanks for the reply.
