Questions on the 2.4Ghz spectrum

Hi,

I am looking at purchasing a wireless CMOS camera from ebay and was
wondering at what frequency within the 2.4Ghz spectrum these run at? What
about the 802.11b wireless gear, I have a wireless network running 802.11b,
what frequency is this type of gear at?

The kits on ebay come with the wireless transmitter built into the camera.
Does anyone know if you can remove the transmitter from the camera and use a
different camera with it?

Is it possible to get generic transmitters and tune them (or the receiver)
to the correct frequency?
