you could try a large handgun.
but you may have more success with a video camera and a sound-level meter.

The handgun would work, as already discussed to death, but I fail to
see how you're going to burn out a stereo with a video camera and a
sound-level meter.

That only works if your local police force actually bother to do
something.
Surely there is a way of building a circuit to emit static or a
high-pitched signal that would be picked up by the car's speakers?
