Is there a difference in the operation of Q1A and Q1B in the schematics
shown below? I'm not sure if I've ever seen the collector connected to the
base as shown in the circuit below, but have seen it somewhere. Why would
someone choose not to connect the base and collector in some circuits, and
in others have them connected? Does it increase the current capability when
the collector is connected to the base?
