Hi all,
I am designing a LC VCO and is simulating it's phase noise by Spectre
RF. Simulation went well until I replaced the ideal capacitors in my
circuit with MIM capacitors plus MOS
switches to achieve band-switching.
I sometimes get the warning message "During PNoise analysis, 'pnoise'
relative residual of linear system is significantly above tolerance.
Results may be inaccurate". Although the simulation is finished, and
results seem reasonable, I am not sure if I can trust the number due to
this warning.
Could someone please explain the meaning of this warning and how to
solve it? I appreciate your help.
