There\'s no scheme for canonization in the Church of England.

A too-accurate meme I saw: \"Believers saddened as last Christian in the
Church of England dies.\" :(

Cheers

I didn\'t watch any of the dog and pony show but my ex reported that
Charles left out \'defender of the faith\' when swearing into his new job.
The first trannie \'priest\' occurred in Elizabeth\'s watch so he may have
concluded the faith was to far gone to defend.

The majority of Protestant denominations do not formally recognize saints, believing that all Christian believers (living and dead, and regardless of the specific branch of Christianity to which they adhered) are considered saints. However, some denominations do, as shown below.

By all accounts he\'s not a Christian of any conviction. Some years ago,
I recall his floating the idea of taking the title \"Defender of Faith\",
rather than \"the Faith.\"

Charles 1 is not a saint of the C of E. Even genuinely saintly people
such as Ridley and Latimer aren\'t, despite being burned to death
explicitly for their faith under Mary Tudor.

I don\'t have a dog in that fight, however.
