I bought this amp to power to a pair of pyle 2-way 6 1/2 . It is loud. I have it turned a quater of the way down and the bass boost off.. It rocks.
I just got this amp. and the first day i got it i hooked it up to my pyle blue wave 10 inch subwoofer it drives it hard. But i waiting until i got my yamaha home audio subwoofer to really test this amp. And it drives it really hard with every bass tone. And i just got done making the yamaha subwoofer box ring big enough to hold the pyle blue wave 10 inch and it drives that subwoofer hard. its not to its max yet cause i dont have a big enough atx power supply to get the amp light from diming out when it hits really hard. but it only does that with the yamaha subwoofer not my pyle blue wave subwoofer. So When i get the new atx power supply i will update this review
I purchased one of these in Oct 2006 to drive my JL Audio subwoofer, mainly because it was one of the few powerful and bridgeable amps that wasn't too huge; it needed to fit in the otherwise useless CD changer area of my 2001 Audi A4 Avant (at a diagonal, mind you). I liked the remote level control, since the bass levels in music tend to be so all-over-the-place, and the shelving frequency of my head unit's bass tone control was too high.The bass wasn't that tight, but that could have been because of the JL Audio speakers, with their small cabinet and big venting port.The lighted plastic emblem was broken-off when I received the amp. I wouldn't have cared too much, but there was a gaping hole to the insides. I didn't want any wayward screws getting in there, so I glued the ugly logo back on.Sadly, it wasn't very long before the unit would occasionally start making thumping sounds when first turned on, and at other times. I checked all my wiring, and it was solid. Within the last month, it finally died. The "protect" light comes on, and it gets pretty hot.With all that, I'm still going to purchase another of the same unit. I'm stuck on it, because of space and cablin
g issues. It fits in the location I have for an amp, and I've already run the wire for the remote level control. I wouldn't want to do that again for a different amp.Mark
